Gunther Apex

The Apex is a top-notch flier and a quantum leap in performance from many of the pre-built rubber band planes on the market. The proof is in the pudding with the Apex capable of flights over 300 feet. The plane's long, overlapped rubber-band engine is mounted to a large, 8" high-torque propeller which hauls the plane high and is spring loaded to freewheel after the rubber band has completely unwound.

All wing and vertical stabilizer frames are constructed of durable soldered spring-steel wire covered with lightweight foil. Being springy, they can absorb a large amount of impact energy without deforming. The hollow fuselage is both aerodymanic and durable. Assembly takes less than 5 minutes and the wing and landing gear remove for transport. The wing also releases on a hard landing to further prevent damage to it or fuselage.
